Novak Djokovic has clinched a place at this year’s Nitto ATP Finals, matching Roger Federer’s record with 18 career qualifications. His spot was confirmed when the draws for the ATP 500 events in Basel and Vienna were set on Saturday, ensuring he cannot be overtaken in the race.
The Serbian joins Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner as confirmed singles qualifiers for the season-ending event in Turin. This marks Djokovic’s eighth straight appearance at the Finals. He first played the tournament in 2007 and has missed only the 2017 edition, when he was injured.
Djokovic’s Stellar 2025 Season Performance
Djokovic’s 2025 season has been highlighted by his 100th tour-level title in Geneva, making him the third man in the Open Era to reach that milestone, alongside Jimmy Connors and Federer. He reached the semi-finals at all four Grand Slams for the seventh time in his career, made a Masters 1000 final in Miami, and a semi-final in Shanghai. Now 38, he remains a consistent force deep into the biggest events.
A record seven-time champion at the year-end tournament, Djokovic lifted his first Finals trophy in 2008 and most recently won the title in 2023. He has captured two of the four editions staged in Turin and holds a 50-18 match record at the event.
The Nitto ATP Finals will be held at the Inalpi Arena in Turin from 9 to 16 November. This prestigious tournament will showcase the best of men’s tennis, with Djokovic aiming to add yet another trophy to his illustrious career. Fans around the world are eagerly anticipating this exciting event, where legends of the sport will compete for the ultimate title in men’s tennis.
