Billetlugen takes over: New ticket provider for Denmark’s national football team from 2026

The Danish Football Association (DBU) has chosen Billetlugen as its new ticketing partner for national team matches and other DBU events, starting January 1, 2026. This strategic partnership is set to enhance the experience for fans while simplifying the ticket purchasing process.

Enhanced Ticketing Experience for Fans

The move is intended to make buying tickets simpler and smoother for supporters. DBU emphasized that it sought a partner capable of streamlining the purchase process and assisting in the development of the ForDanmark fan platform. This platform will include a new app that serves as the federation’s digital hub, providing a comprehensive experience for fans.

Ticket security and resale controls are also a priority in this agreement. DBU plans to collaborate with Billetlugen on implementing a more controlled system aimed at reducing fraud in ticket sales. This aspect is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the ticketing process, ensuring that fans can purchase tickets with confidence.

Billetlugen, a member of CTS Eventim, is part of a major European ticketing group known for its expertise in handling large sports and cultural events. Their impressive portfolio includes ticketing for the European Men’s Handball Championship in January across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, and they have experience with clubs such as Real Madrid. Additionally, Eventim’s systems were utilized for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, further showcasing their reliability in the industry.

In Denmark, Billetlugen is responsible for selling tickets for various venues, including K.B. Hallen, Tivoli, and MCH/Boxen, as well as major concerts. With this partnership, DBU expects to reach a wider audience and strengthen ticket sales not only for the men’s national team but also for the women’s national team and the under-21 side.

The agreement, which takes effect on January 1, 2026, covers all DBU matches and events. It is designed to support the ForDanmark platform, giving fans a singular location to access tickets, news, and exclusive experiences related to the national teams. This initiative is expected to enhance the overall engagement and support from fans across Denmark, making it an exciting development for the future of Danish football.
