The U19 squad and staff recently embarked on an intensive three-day program during the autumn break, aimed at enhancing team spirit and diversifying their training routine. This carefully structured schedule took place from Monday to Wednesday, featuring a variety of activities both on and off the pitch.
Team-Building Activities Designed for Growth
Monday kicked off the program with a guided breathing session, followed by an invigorating ice bath at Frederiksdal. The day was packed with three hours of team-building exercises, meticulously crafted by the club’s mental coaches. Meals were thoughtfully provided throughout the activities to ensure the players were well-nourished.
On Tuesday, the players began their day once again with breathing exercises and an ice bath, setting a focused tone for the day. This was followed by a regular training session on the pitch in Lyngby. The afternoon was dedicated to a four-hour climbing course that emphasized the importance of communication and cooperation among team members. The day concluded with a team dinner, allowing players to bond over shared experiences.
Wednesday featured another training session, culminating in a wrap-up that included valuable insights from the physical coach and the team’s dietitian. This professional input was crucial in reinforcing the lessons learned throughout the program.
Feedback collected at the end of this intensive program indicated that players felt a stronger connection to one another. They reported that the breathing exercises and ice baths significantly aided in slowing down their minds and clearing their heads before training, leaving them feeling more energized and focused. Many players described the program as challenging and, at times, pushing them out of their comfort zones; however, they unanimously agreed it was a worthwhile experience. The players emphasized the critical importance of strong communication with every teammate, a takeaway that will undoubtedly benefit their future training sessions and matches.
