Taylor Fritz sets a new record of 867 aces on the ATP Tour in 2025

Taylor Fritz ended the 2025 season as the ATP Tour’s ace leader, delivering 867 unreturnable serves across 74 matches and finishing first in the category for the first time. His average of 11.72 aces per match underscored how much his serve drove his results throughout the year.

Fritz’s Impressive Serving Statistics

Tour statistics show a steady rise in Fritz’s serving output over the past five seasons. He struck 530 aces in 56 matches in 2021 (11th for the season), 642 in 62 matches in 2022 (7th), 692 in 77 matches in 2023 (2nd), and 725 in 74 matches in 2024 (3rd) before reaching 867 in 2025 (1st).

One of the clearest examples of his dominance came on grass in Stuttgart last year, where he held serve in all 43 of his service games on the way to the title. He hit 45 aces that week and faced only four break points.

Fritz has said he typically looks to earn free points with his first serve and adjusts based on conditions, aiming for different spots when courts play slower. He considers a returner’s court position when choosing his targets, noting that opponents who stand closer to the baseline can be easier to ace but may send back more dangerous replies if they connect, while deeper return positions can lead to more balls coming back but give him a simpler second shot.

Beyond his serving surge, Fritz’s broader résumé continued to grow. The American owns 10 tour-level titles, reached a career-high ranking of No. 4 in November 2024, played his first Grand Slam final at the 2024 US Open, and qualified for the season-ending ATP Finals for the third time in 2025. With his serve trending upward year after year, he enters 2026 with momentum and a strong foundation for further success on the ATP Tour.
