Sérgio Pereira and Ariete Almeida emerged victorious, claiming the prestigious chess titles in São Tomé and Príncipe as the 2026 national championships concluded in the vibrant city of São Tomé. The Absolute National Championship, held over 11 intense rounds at the Hotel Miramar, gathered some of the strongest chess players from across the country.
