Lyngby Boldklub is set to say goodbye to three key players at the conclusion of this season: Bror Blume, Nicklas Mouritsen, and Anton Mayland. With their contracts expiring this summer, the club has decided not to renew them. To honor their contributions, there will be a special ceremony before the home match against AC Horsens.

Farewell to Three Key Players

Bror Blume leaves the club after two separate spells, making an impressive 172 first-team appearances and scoring 19 goals. His presence on the field has been significant, and he will be missed by fans and teammates alike. Nicklas Mouritsen, the left back, will also conclude his time at Lyngby after the upcoming fixtures against Horsens and Esbjerg. Mouritsen has had multiple stints with the club, accumulating a total of 38 first-team matches and playing a crucial role in two promotions.

In contrast, 19-year-old goalkeeper Anton Mayland has been a part of the first-team goalkeeping group and recently joined the squad’s training camp in Cyprus. He is expected to be on the substitutes’ bench for the match against Horsens, marking an important moment in his developing career.

Sporting director Nicas Kjeldsen addressed the difficult nature of season finales, emphasizing the importance of the players’ contributions both in matches and during training. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the club for their efforts and extended best wishes for their future endeavors.

Additionally, defender Neil Pierre’s loan from Philadelphia Union will also expire at the end of the season. As of now, a decision regarding the extension of his loan remains pending.

The farewell ceremony for Blume, Mouritsen, and Mayland will occur shortly before kick-off at Lyngby Stadion, providing fans with an opportunity to show their appreciation for the players who have dedicated their time and skills to the club.
