Nørgaard took charge of Sønderjyske in January 2023 and played a pivotal role in guiding the team back to the top league in Denmark by the summer of 2024. Over his tenure, he managed a total of 121 matches, which ranks as the second-highest for a Sønderjyske coach, surpassed only by Lars Søndergaard’s 144 matches.
