Nearly 20,000 children and teenagers are set to lace up their boots across Denmark this summer as DBU Football Schools return with an emphasis on play, camaraderie, and active days on the pitch. The program welcomes participants of all abilities and aims to create enjoyable, inclusive experiences.
Over 200 Football Schools Nationwide
More than 200 football schools will operate nationwide over the summer, supported by around 3,000 volunteers who will help provide a safe and engaging environment for the participants. DBU notes strong, continued interest in the summer offering and highlights the backing from clubs, volunteers, and families, with a focus on giving children and young people positive moments through movement and football.
This year’s football school jersey features the Føtex logo for the first time. The arrangement extends the broader collaboration formed in 2024 between DBU and Salling Group, with the Føtex partnership running from 2026 to 2029. This collaboration not only enhances the visibility of the program but also emphasizes the importance of community support in fostering young athletes.
DBU Football School has been held since 1993 and has drawn more than 750,000 children over the years. This year’s participants are aged five to 16, making it a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to develop their skills and make lifelong friendships. The environment is designed to be fun and supportive, allowing each child to thrive, regardless of their starting level in football.
As the summer approaches, excitement builds for the DBU Football Schools, where children will not only enhance their football skills but also learn valuable life lessons about teamwork and perseverance. Don’t miss out on this opportunity for your child to be part of a vibrant football community!
