AGF training in Belgium: preparing for a friendly against Union Saint-Gilloise

AGF has moved its pre-season preparations to Belgium for a short training camp in Tubize, just south of Brussels. The squad is using the Belgian football federation’s training complex and will hold two sessions there before playing its third warm-up match of the summer.

Training Camp Details

The team arrived late Thursday afternoon and completed an opening workout in warm conditions. Training continues Friday ahead of Saturday’s friendly against Union Saint-Gilloise, scheduled for 2 p.m. on July 11. This training camp is crucial for AGF as they gear up for the upcoming season, allowing the players to enhance their fitness levels and build chemistry on the pitch.

Not all players made the trip. Nicolai Poulsen and Rasmus Carstensen remained in Aarhus to continue their rehabilitation, and Luka Callø also stayed home. Callø will not be available for Saturday’s game after taking a knock in the previous match. The absence of these key players could impact AGF’s performance, making the match against Union Saint-Gilloise an important test for the rest of the squad.

AGF has already faced foreign opposition this summer, including a meeting with Motherwell, and expects another strong test against Union Saint-Gilloise. The friendly matches are an excellent opportunity for the coaching staff to evaluate the players’ progress and make necessary adjustments before the competitive fixtures begin.

As AGF continues its preparations in Belgium, fans are eager to see how the team will perform in the upcoming match and what strategies will be implemented to adapt to their opponents. With the right focus and determination, AGF aims to build momentum leading into the new season.
