Wessel Nijman remains the standout performer on the 2026 PDC ProTour, sitting comfortably atop the Order of Merit with £315,500. He has collected eight titles from 34 events so far, spanning 24 Players Championships and 10 European Tour stops. Even so, recent weeks have produced fresh storylines elsewhere on the circuit.
Exciting Developments in the ProTour
German darts reached a new milestone in Leicester, where Gabriel Clemens captured Players Championship 24 to claim the first PDC title of his career. He became the fifth first-time winner on the ProTour this season, following Beau Greaves, Kevin Doets, Andrew Gilding, and Luke Woodhouse, and surged from 58th to 39th on the ProTour Order of Merit. One day earlier, Cameron Menzies won Players Championship 23, his third PDC crown, securing his place at the World Matchplay.
On the European Tour, Krzysztof Ratajski sealed the European Darts Open in Leverkusen with an 8–6 victory over Jermaine Wattimena. The Pole’s win marked his third European Tour title from three finals, adding to triumphs in Gibraltar in 2019 and Jena in 2023. The Leverkusen weekend drew more than 14,000 fans across three days, underscoring the tour’s strong mid-season momentum.
Looking ahead, the ProTour heads to Halle 39 in Hildesheim at the end of July for Players Championships 25 and 26, before Leicester hosts tournaments 27 and 28 at the end of August. The European Tour race to the championship in Dortmund also continues, with the top 32 in the European Tour Order of Merit set to qualify for the season-ending event.
