AC Horsens is actively seeking a Financial Controller to enhance its finance operations. This new position will be part of a dedicated five-person finance team and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Key Responsibilities of the Financial Controller
The Financial Controller will be responsible for core accounting and control tasks, which include:
- Overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and accruals
- Preparing monthly and annual financial statements in collaboration with the finance team
- Maintaining strong internal controls, efficient financial processes, and reporting within the e-conomic system
- Preparing documentation and materials for the annual audit
- Updating and developing accounting policies and internal guidelines
- Supporting payroll processing
- Driving automation initiatives within the finance function
Ideal candidates should possess a relevant finance education and experience in similar roles, such as financial controller or auditor. A practical mastery of accounting principles and a structured, accountable working style are essential. Although experience in the sports sector is not required, the club outlines the following qualifications as important:
- Solid experience with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting
