AC Horsens has launched a citywide push to fill Hybel Arena Horsens with 8,700 fans when it hosts AGF, the reigning Danish champions, on Sunday, September 20. The club wants a strong yellow backdrop for the East Jutland rivalry match, which kicks off at 16:00.
Mission 8700: A Community Effort
Branded Mission 8700, the initiative is presented as a joint effort by the club, supporters, partners, and the wider Horsens community. Club officials point to the promotion match against Kolding as an example of the intense atmosphere they hope to recreate. Fans are being encouraged to wear the club’s colors and come with family and friends to help pack the stands.
The build-up starts well before kickoff with an expanded fan zone, food trucks, and extra activities and entertainment for children. Retailer Bilka is the match sponsor and will help put a special focus on families attending the game.
Shortly before the teams walk out, local artist Albert Heath will perform a special version of his Horsens song to boost the pre-match mood.
AGF arrive as champions and major regional rivals, and AC Horsens aims to make the visitors feel the pressure of a full house. As of now, 2,300 tickets have been sold, and the club is optimistic about achieving their goal of 8,700 fans in attendance.
This initiative not only showcases the community spirit of Horsens but also highlights the importance of fan engagement in Danish football. AC Horsens is determined to create a memorable experience for both players and supporters, reinforcing the bond between the club and its loyal fans. With the right energy and enthusiasm, this match could become a defining moment for the team and its supporters.
