Rwanda is set to host the UCI Road World Championships, marking the first time the event takes place on African soil. The week follows the traditional format, beginning with individual time trials, moving to the Mixed Team Relay midweek, and closing with the road races.

Key Athletes and Competitions

In the men’s events, Tadej Pogačar leads the headlines as he targets a defense of his road race crown and a shot at the time trial title. He will face stiff opposition in the race against the clock from defending champion Remco Evenepoel. The road race features a deep field, including Isaac Del Toro, Juan Ayuso, Richard Carapaz, Mattias Skjelmose, Tom Pidcock, Oscar Onley, Julian Alaphilippe, Ben Healy, Jai Hindley, and Primož Roglič. Italy’s squad features Giulio Ciccone and Giulio Pellizzari.
