A decisive weekend in Hildesheim confirmed the full field for the 2025 HYLO PDC Europe Super League. Twenty-four players booked their places through the PDC Europe Next Gen season and will return in November to chase the prize on offer: a berth at the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace in London.
Highlights from the 2025 HYLO PDC Europe Super League
Arno Merk provided the standout story of the finale by overturning a slow start to his season and winning the closing event on Sunday. His run included victories over Finn Prokop, Julian Beil, Luca Wolff, Daniel Klose, and Christian Schmidt, and he denied surprise finalist Sebastian Steinmetz a spot by beating him in the decider.
The final qualification spots were settled in tense fashion. Steven Noster reached a semifinal to confirm his place, while Christian Schmidt mounted a late surge against Michael Hurtz that pushed Switzerland’s Marcel Walpen out of the Top 20. As a result, the 2025 Super League will feature only German players.
Several contenders fell short. Austria’s Rowby-John Rodriguez, a World Cup finalist in 2024, did not collect enough points to progress. Jannis Barkhausen, Jan Dückers, Marcel Hausotter, and Patrick Tringler also missed out.
Four newcomers qualified via the youth ranking: Jan Schmidt, Finn Chudziak, Lenny Schlüter, and Felix Springer. All four are set to make their Super League debuts, which adds an exciting dynamic to the tournament.
The HYLO PDC Europe Super League will take place from November 4 to 7, 2025, at Halle 39 in Hildesheim. The winner will earn direct entry to the World Championship at Alexandra Palace, making this competition a pivotal moment in the players’ careers. Fans can look forward to thrilling matches and the potential rise of new stars as the tournament unfolds.
