The Danish Football Association (DBU) has secured the funding needed to launch Hele Danmarks Klubhus after the A.P. Møller Support Fund pledged up to 200 million kroner. With financing in place, the project moves a step closer to becoming reality, and DBU has named Jens Due Olsen as the designated chair of the initiative’s future board.
Progression of Hele Danmarks Klubhus
Following a board meeting, DBU approved progression to the next phase. In the coming months, the team behind Hele Danmarks Klubhus will refine the execution plan and complete formal approvals, including final due diligence and closing, which are expected to be concluded within the next few months. DBU aims to begin implementation before the end of the year.
The A.P. Møller Support Fund joins an established group of partners behind the initiative, including Lars Larsen Group, the LEGO Foundation, Scandic, AP Ejendomme, and Høje-Taastrup Municipality. This diverse coalition is crucial for the successful launch and sustainability of the project.
Hele Danmarks Klubhus is intended to serve as a new piece of national infrastructure for Danish football, with impact at local, regional, and national levels, and with a strong focus on strengthening grassroots football. The initiative aims to create an environment that fosters teamwork, sportsmanship, and community engagement.
Jens Due Olsen brings extensive experience from business and board work, as well as from the sports sector. He has previously co-founded BørneBasketFonden and is known for his commitment to improving the well-being of children and young people through team sports. His leadership is expected to significantly influence the direction and success of Hele Danmarks Klubhus, enhancing the overall landscape of football in Denmark.
