Lyngby Boldklub appoints Brian Nyegaard as new finance assistant

Lyngby Boldklub has recently welcomed Brian Nyegaard to its finance team as of September. He joins as a finance staff member and will support chief financial officer Oliver Oldenborg following the club’s strategic move to bring its bookkeeping in-house. Initially, Nyegaard will work at the club one day a week while continuing his role as head of accounting at Vita Media Group.

Brian Nyegaard’s Experience and Passion for Football

With over two decades of experience in finance, reconciliation, and bookkeeping, Nyegaard is well-equipped to oversee daily operations. His extensive background makes him a valuable addition to the team at Lyngby Boldklub. Nyegaard was drawn to the role due to his passion for football, which he believes provides a more engaging environment for utilizing his expertise.

Football is not just a profession for Nyegaard; it is a significant part of his life outside of work as well. He currently plays for Lundtofte Boldklub and has a rich history in competitive football, having previously participated in Denmark’s second division for teams such as FC Roskilde and Stenløse. His playing career includes memorable moments, such as a visit to Lyngby Stadium, where he witnessed an exhilarating match that ended 4-3 in favor of the home side against FC Roskilde. Now, he is looking forward to creating positive memories at Lyngby Boldklub in a new capacity.

In his spare time, Nyegaard enjoys activities like cycling, running, and winter skiing when family commitments allow. His years of handling accounting, bookkeeping, and reconciliations have provided him with a strong grasp of the demands of his new role. As he integrates into the Lyngby Boldklub team, his wealth of knowledge and passion for football will undoubtedly contribute to the club’s financial management and overall success.
