Odense Boldklub has entered into a significant four-year partnership with FTZ Autodele & Værktøj A/S, marking a major milestone in the club’s commercial endeavors. This collaboration positions FTZ as one of the club’s largest commercial partners, aiming to enhance their mutual strengths and support a broader community initiative on Funen, grounded in shared values.
Strengthening Community Ties through Partnership
The agreement is described as one of the club’s biggest achievements, reflecting the alignment between OB’s development plans and FTZ’s strong local roots. Both organizations intend to leverage this partnership to bolster their initiatives both on and off the field, contributing significantly to community cohesion on the island of Funen.
Founded in 1962 in Odense as FAU (Fyns Auto Udstyr), FTZ is recognized as Denmark’s largest auto parts distributor. With over 30 branches throughout Denmark and the Faroe Islands, FTZ employs more than 1,100 individuals and operates a number of workshop chains, including AutoMester, Din Bilpartner, and Hella Service Partner. The company boasts an impressive annual revenue exceeding 2.3 billion Danish kroner, with a new logistics center in Rørup on Funen set to become fully operational by 2026. FTZ is a proud member of the MEKO group.
Through this partnership, FTZ aims to expand its brand presence across Denmark while offering customers unique football experiences and hospitality in professional settings, both locally on Funen and nationwide. Additionally, FTZ plans to engage with the business network surrounding Odense Sport & Event and Odense Boldklub.
Beyond traditional marketing strategies, both OB and FTZ are committed to exploring joint initiatives with a social focus, building upon existing programs that benefit the community surrounding the club. The cooperation has already commenced, showcasing a proactive approach to community engagement.
As part of this partnership, FTZ will feature prominently on LED advertising boards during OB home matches in the Danish Superliga and the Danish Cup. Furthermore, from the start of the 2027–2030 seasons, the club’s playing kits will prominently display FTZ branding, enhancing visibility and reinforcing the partnership’s significance.
