Silkeborg IF is actively seeking a dedicated full-time team manager and equipment lead to oversee logistics, coordination, and day-to-day operations for both the first team and the academy. Key Responsibilities of the Team Manager
The successful candidate will be entrusted with a range of key responsibilities, including:
- Managing apparel and equipment, which encompasses ordering, inventory management, and coordination with coaches and players.
- Packing and transporting gear for matches and training camps, along with providing essential support before, during, and after events.
- Preparing weekly plans and managing logistics for training sessions, matches, and laundry operations.
- Ensuring that laundry services operate smoothly for both the first team and the academy.
- Attending all first-team matches to prepare and manage necessary materials.
- Assisting with printing on clothing and equipment to ensure branding consistency.
- Onboarding new players and offering practical help as needed.
- Completing general administrative tasks such as maintaining staff lists and planning for training camps.
- Taking on ad hoc duties and leading staff and volunteers within the service team.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the demands and culture associated with elite sports. They should be structured, detail-oriented, and capable of effective planning while being comfortable with various IT systems. Proficiency in English is a must, and prior experience in logistics, inventory management, or coordination will be considered an advantage.
Furthermore, the role demands a positive and engaged attitude, the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to enhancing collaboration and operational routines. Flexibility is crucial, as evening and weekend work, along with variable hours and periods of overtime, are part of the job requirements.
This position reports directly to the sporting management and requires close cooperation with the coaching staff, playing squad, medical team, academy, administration, and external suppliers. The working atmosphere is informal yet lively, with high expectations for performance and professionalism.
