ATP Tour increases bonus pool to $21.5 million as part of a new strategy

The ATP Tour has introduced an exciting new incentive for players with the launch of the OneVision strategy in 2023, which has significantly increased the bonus pool available to athletes. This initiative is set to reshape the competitive landscape of tennis, particularly at the ATP Masters 1000 and Nitto ATP Finals events.

Increased Bonuses for Top Players

As of 2026, the ATP Masters 1000 and Nitto ATP Finals Bonus Pool has grown to an impressive $21.5 million, a substantial increase from the previous $11.5 million allocated in 2022. The revised payout structure will reward the top 30 players who accumulate the most PIF ATP Rankings points at Masters 1000 events and the season-ending Finals, contingent upon their participation in the events.

In addition to the Masters 1000 bonus pool, a separate ATP 500 Bonus Pool worth $3.07 million will reward the top six players in ATP 500 standings, again subject to participation criteria. This dual bonus structure is designed to motivate players to perform well throughout the season, increasing the stakes at every tournament.

As of August 17, 2026, the standings for the ATP Masters 1000 and Nitto ATP Finals Bonus Pool showcase some of the brightest stars in tennis. Leading the pack is Jannik Sinner, who has played in five tournaments and amassed a remarkable 5000 points. Following him is Alexander Zverev, with 1960 points from six tournaments, and Daniil Medvedev, who also participated in six events, earning 1220 points.

The ATP 500 Bonus Pool rankings are equally competitive, with Ben Shelton currently in first place after participating in five tournaments and earning 1250 points. Taylor Fritz follows closely with 1160 points from three tournaments, reflecting the intense competition within the ATP Tour.

Standings will continue to evolve as more ATP Masters 1000 and ATP 500 events take place, providing players with the opportunity to enhance their rankings and earn substantial bonuses. To qualify for these payouts, players must adhere to specific participation requirements, ensuring that only the most dedicated competitors receive these lucrative rewards.

This new era of increased financial incentives not only elevates the stakes for players but also enhances the overall excitement of the ATP Tour for fans and tennis enthusiasts around the world.
