F.C. Copenhagen is making significant strides with the development of a new training center located on KB’s grounds in Frederiksberg. Preliminary work has already commenced, and construction is set to begin in the autumn. This initiative is being developed in partnership with KB and will be strategically positioned adjacent to Frederiksberg Hallen, providing direct access to the club’s practice pitches.
Features of the New Training Center
The new facility will encompass approximately 1,100 square meters over three floors. It has been designed with a focus on meeting the specific needs of the first team and club staff. The center will feature larger and upgraded spaces, including locker rooms, a restaurant, a players’ lounge, and meeting rooms. The primary goal of this development is to enhance the day-to-day conditions for the sporting department, ensuring that players and staff have access to top-notch amenities.
Frederiksberg Municipality has granted a five-year permit for the installation of the training center. Upon the completion of the new building, the temporary pavilion that is currently utilized as the players’ gym will be dismantled, marking a significant step forward for the club.
In addition to the training center, F.C. Copenhagen is concurrently working on a long-term plan for a larger, permanent performance center at Jens Jessens Vej 10, commonly referred to as 10’eren. Before the summer break, the municipality’s Climate, Planning and Housing Committee approved the initiation of a new local plan process. This plan will pave the way for the establishment of permanent facilities at this site, which will include provisions for the U19 team.
As these projects continue to evolve, further updates are anticipated, providing exciting developments for fans and stakeholders of F.C. Copenhagen.
