Brøndby IF has reached an agreement with Icelandic side Breidablik to sign 15-year-old forward Arnar Bjarki Gunnleifsson, with the move scheduled for the winter. He will join Brøndby Masterclass in January after his 16th birthday, when he becomes eligible to complete the transfer to Denmark.
Exciting Future for Arnar Bjarki Gunnleifsson
The teenager has already appeared for Breidablik’s first team and has represented Iceland at youth international level. He scored in each of his last two matches for Breidablik and, with a goal against KA Akureyri ten days ago, became the youngest scorer in the history of Iceland’s top league at just 15 years and 221 days.
Brøndby describes Gunnleifsson as a versatile player who previously featured in several positions before switching to centre forward over the past year. The club highlights his physical strength, movement without the ball, ability to create for teammates, and finishing skills, all underpinned by a solid technical base. This combination of attributes has led Brøndby to see notable potential for his development as he transitions into a more competitive environment.
As Gunnleifsson prepares to join Brøndby Masterclass, he is expected to integrate into the club’s daily training program starting this winter. His arrival is highly anticipated by both fans and management alike, as they look forward to witnessing his growth and contributions on the pitch.
With a promising career ahead, Arnar Bjarki Gunnleifsson is set to make waves in Danish football. The Brøndby fans will undoubtedly be eager to support their new young talent as he embarks on this exciting journey in his football career.
