Brøndby players Younis and Binks make their debuts for the Australian and Scottish national teams

The international break has come to a close, and it was a busy stretch for Brøndby players across senior and youth national teams. This period saw several players making significant contributions to their respective squads, showcasing the talent emerging from Brøndby.

Brøndby Players Shine on the International Stage

Two players earned their first senior caps, marking a significant milestone in their careers. Marcus Younis debuted for Australia, while Luis Binks made his first appearance for Scotland. Binks, Brøndby’s captain, was instrumental in Scotland’s four Nations League fixtures, starting and completing matches against Switzerland, North Macedonia, and Slovenia.

Meanwhile, Younis made his presence felt by appearing off the bench late in both of Australia’s friendlies against Brazil. The first match ended in a 1-1 draw, while the second concluded with a 4-2 defeat for Australia. These experiences are invaluable for Younis as he continues to develop his international career.

Bartosz Slisz also had an active international break with Poland, participating in four Nations League games. The midfielder started the opening match and came on as a substitute in the third, which took place against Romania. His contributions were crucial in helping Poland navigate through a competitive series of matches.

On the youth front, right-back Christopher Olivier joined Austria’s U21 team and played the full 90 minutes in both of their matches, including a notable 1-1 draw against Denmark. This experience at the U21 level is crucial for Olivier as he continues to grow as a player.

There were also exciting moments at the youth level, with Olti Hyseni finding the net for the U20s and Raphael Canut scoring for the U18s. These young players are proving their potential and represent the bright future of Brøndby.
