CPH Playday at Fælledparken: Sports and Fun for Children in Copenhagen on September 11

CPH Playday 2024: A Day of Fun and Sports for Kids

CPH Playday will take place on Friday, September 11, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Fælledparken, ahead of F.C. Copenhagen’s home game against AC Horsens at 7:00 p.m. in Parken.

What to Expect at CPH Playday

The citywide sports day invites children to try a range of activities with friends, including F.C. Copenhagen training sessions, Kin-Ball, obstacle courses, parkour, rhythm exercises, dance and more. The event is organized by F.C. Copenhagen in cooperation with the City of Copenhagen and Paul Petersens Idrætsinstitut.

Entry to the Fælledparken event is open and free for everyone. Registration is required for those who want access to discounted tickets for the evening match. Discounted seats are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and may sell out.

CPH Playday is held annually for pupils in Copenhagen from grades 0 to 9, aiming to promote health and physical activity in an enjoyable setting for children aged 6 to 15. The event marked its 10th anniversary in 2024 and in recent years has drawn about 6,000 participants to Fælledparken. Local sports clubs are invited each year to present a broad mix of activities, such as gymnastics, dance and parkour.

Registered participants in the daytime event are offered a reduced price to attend the subsequent match in Parken, providing an opportunity to combine a day of sport with an evening of football. This makes CPH Playday not just an event, but a memorable experience for families and friends alike.
