A partnership between F.C. Copenhagen and the Copenhagen-based association FISKEN has opened more entry points to the labor market for young people, resulting in 23 new part-time hires at Parken. This collaboration not only benefits the young employees but also strengthens community ties and promotes local development.
Empowering Young People Through Job Opportunities
FISKEN supports more than 300 young people each year as they prepare for their first jobs, offering guidance on applications, rules and rights, and workplace culture. The formal cooperation with the club is designed to connect participants directly with real vacancies and give them responsibility and hands-on experience in a professional setting. This innovative approach helps bridge the gap between education and employment.
Through this effort, 23 young people have started jobs at Parken in concessions, the warehouse, and cleaning. Organizers describe the workplace as structured and socially supportive, with a fast pace and strong teamwork, helping newcomers gain practical skills. Participants are expected to learn accountability, collaborate across functions, and adapt to fixed routines, which can benefit both their wellbeing and future prospects.
FISKEN follows up regularly with the new employees to track how their onboarding progresses, how their day-to-day work develops, and how long they remain in their roles. Insights from this monitoring are used to refine the initiative and improve conditions for first-time workers. This feedback loop ensures that the program remains effective and responsive to the needs of young people entering the workforce.
From February 2025 through April 2026:
- 71 applied for Parken jobs via FISKEN
- 30 received job offers
- 23 started work: 7 in cleaning, 11 in the warehouse, and 5 in concessions
This initiative not only highlights the importance of partnerships in creating employment opportunities but also showcases the significant impact of mentorship and support in nurturing the next generation of workers. By investing in the future of these young individuals, F.C. Copenhagen and FISKEN are setting a positive example for other organizations to follow.
