FC Midtjylland begins summer break with sights set on new season goals

FC Midtjylland’s first team is currently enjoying a break of just under four weeks. The preparations for the exciting 2026/27 season are set to commence on June 15, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the club.

Upcoming Matches and Training Camp

The recently concluded campaign for FC Midtjylland was a remarkable one, featuring a total of 55 matches. The team celebrated a Danish Cup triumph, secured second place in the 3F Superliga, and advanced to the round of 16 in the Europa League. Such achievements have set a high standard for the upcoming season.

Players are scheduled to return on June 15 for essential physical testing, ensuring they are in peak condition as they gear up for the new season. The first pre-season friendly is set for June 20 against Lillestrøm SK at Hybridbanen (Herning Fremad) in Herning. Following that, the team will face Malmö FF on June 26 at Eleda Stadion and then take on Silkeborg IF on July 4, also at Hybridbanen in Herning. These warm-up matches are crucial for building team chemistry and assessing player fitness.

In addition to the friendly matches, a training camp in the United Kingdom is scheduled to begin on July 6. This camp will include a match against Cardiff City at Cardiff City Stadium on July 11.
