FC Midtjylland seeks a payroll accountant for the finance department

FC Midtjylland is excited to announce that it is recruiting a payroll accountant to join its finance department, a pivotal role within the club’s administration. This position ensures that all staff are paid accurately and on time each month, making it essential for the smooth operation of the organization.

Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Accountant

The payroll accountant role is described as a specialist position, where a colleague will hand over responsibilities to ensure a smooth transition for the new hire. Core tasks include:

  • Running the monthly payroll using Zenegy.
  • Reporting to Danish tax authorities, ATP, and other public bodies.
  • Maintaining employee and contract data along with payroll budgets.
  • Calculating and reconciling pay, supplements, bonuses, and departures.
  • Addressing staff inquiries regarding pay, tax, and holiday matters.
  • Assisting in implementing solutions related to the pay transparency directive.
  • Helping with employment contracts and managing ad hoc duties in finance and administration.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have solid payroll administration experience, along with knowledge of Danish payroll law, personal taxation, and holiday regulations. Strong skills in Excel are essential, and experience with payroll systems is required. Familiarity with Zenegy is regarded as a significant advantage. Additionally, the club seeks a candidate who works in a structured, thorough, and independent manner while respecting the confidentiality of payroll data. An ability to thrive in a team environment and a passion for football are also essential attributes.
