Kiril Kostadinov’s Journey to the National Team

The call-up comes shortly after Kostadinov signed his first contract with OB, a three-year deal running until the summer of 2029. Born in Bulgaria and raised in Denmark from the age of five, his football journey began at a young age. He joined OB from the Øens Hold club Fraugde G&IF at under-10 level and has steadily progressed from the amateur ranks to the academy and now the U17 side.

Kostadinov is regarded as a technically strong, deep-lying midfielder with good vision and game understanding. His skills on the field have not gone unnoticed, making him a vital player for his club and now, the national team. This is not his first international involvement; he appeared for Bulgaria’s U16 team in November last year, showcasing his potential at an early age.

His selection for the under-17 team not only reflects his talent but also the confidence the coaching staff has in his abilities. As he prepares to report for national team duty in Sofia on June 1, fans and coaches alike are optimistic about his contributions in the upcoming friendlies.

Kostadinov’s journey serves as an inspiration for young athletes everywhere, demonstrating that with hard work and dedication, opportunities will arise. As he continues to develop his skills and gain experience on the international stage, the future looks bright for this promising midfielder.
