Lyngby Boldklub is set to kick off its summer program with an exciting friendly match against B93 at Vedbæk Stadium. This event is scheduled for 12:00 on Saturday, 4 July. Vedbæk Stadium, a venue that was once the training base for Denmark’s men’s national team, now serves as the home ground for Lyngby’s partner club, FC Rudersdal.

Community Support and Local Ties

Head coach Andreas Bjelland expressed his satisfaction with the arrangements for the match and is looking forward to seeing a strong turnout from Lyngby fans and local residents. He highlighted the club’s efforts in searching for suitable pitches near the Lyngby-Taarbæk area, as the club’s own fields are currently under heavy use. This friendly match not only provides a competitive opportunity for the team but also strengthens community ties.

Bjelland extended his gratitude to Rudersdal Municipality for facilitating the use of the Vedbæk facility. In preparation for the match, Lyngby plans to hold a training session at Vedbæk on 1 July, ensuring that the players are well-prepared for the upcoming game against B93.

FC Rudersdal is enthusiastic about hosting the Superliga team, viewing it as an excellent opportunity to showcase the partnership between the clubs. Board member Michael Gravgaard emphasized the importance of this event, especially considering Bjelland’s connections to the area. The head coach is honored on the club’s Wall of Fame and has roots in Rudersdal, having spent part of his youth career there, which adds a personal touch to the occasion.

This summer program not only provides a chance for fans to engage with their local team but also celebrates the collaborative spirit between Lyngby Boldklub and FC Rudersdal. As the match date approaches, excitement builds within the community, making it a must-see event for football enthusiasts.
