Danish youth defender Noah Manata has been called up to the national U17 squad for the European Championship finals in Estonia, with the team assembling on Saturday, 23 May.

Manata turned 17 in February and made his U17 debut a little over a month later, coming on in a European qualifying match against the Czech Republic. He featured in all three games of that qualifying window, contributing to Denmark’s progression to the finals.

Upcoming Matches and Tournament Overview

The tournament runs from 25 May to 7 June in Estonia. Denmark is in Group B and will face Montenegro on 26 May, France on 29 May, and Italy on 1 June. A semifinal is scheduled for 4 June, with the final on 7 June, for teams advancing from the group stage. Group A includes Belgium, Croatia, Spain, and host nation Estonia.

Manata joined Odense Boldklub (OB) from Sanderum Boldklub at U13 alongside his twin brother, David. Both currently play for OB’s U17 team, which sits second in its league, and last year they extended their contracts through the summer of 2028.

He will now swap club colors for the national kit as he travels to Estonia with Denmark’s U17s to take on some of Europe’s leading young talents. This opportunity not only highlights Manata’s individual skill and dedication but also showcases the potential of Danish youth football on an international stage. Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how this young defender performs against top-tier teams, and his journey could pave the way for future opportunities within the sport.

As Denmark prepares for the championship, the spotlight will be on emerging talents like Noah Manata, who are eager to prove themselves in one of Europe’s most prestigious youth tournaments.
