Noah Manata has been called up again to Denmark’s under-17 national team and will report for camp on May 23 ahead of the European Championship in Estonia. The tournament runs from May 25 to June 7.
Manata turned 17 in February and made his U17 debut a little over a month later in a European qualifying match against the Czech Republic. He featured in all three games of that qualifying window, helping Denmark secure a place at the finals.
Denmark’s U17 Championship Journey
Denmark has been drawn into Group B and opens with three group-stage fixtures: Montenegro on May 26, France on May 29, and Italy on June 1. If the team advances, the semifinals are scheduled for June 4 and the final for June 7. Group A consists of Belgium, Croatia, Spain, and host nation Estonia.
At club level, Manata joined OB from Sanderum Boldklub as a U13 player alongside his twin brother, David. Both currently play for OB’s U17 side, which is second in the league, and last year they extended their contracts to remain with the club through the summer of 2028.
Manata is set to trade his club colors for the national kit as Denmark’s U17s head to Estonia to compete against some of the continent’s leading prospects. His recent performances have shown great promise, and fans are eager to see how he will contribute to the team’s success in the upcoming championship.
This tournament presents a significant opportunity for young talents like Manata to showcase their skills on an international stage. With the eyes of scouts and coaches from around Europe watching, this could be a pivotal moment in his budding career. As the championship unfolds, supporters will be cheering for Denmark and hoping for a successful run.
