Esbjerg fB has successfully added 21-year-old midfielder Oskar Boesen to their roster on a contract running through the summer of 2030. This marks a significant move for Boesen as he transitions from Silkeborg IF to the Blue Water Arena.

Oskar Boesen’s Journey to Esbjerg fB

Boesen’s football journey began in Spain, where he spent a crucial part of his youth development with Valencia CF. He made his return to Denmark in 2020, where he has since made considerable strides with Silkeborg. Over his time there, he has made 36 appearances in the Danish Superliga, gaining valuable experience in both European competition and the Danish Cup. In the first half of the 2025/26 season, he played eight matches for Silkeborg before embarking on a loan spell with Norwegian side Stabæk at the turn of the year. His talent has also been recognized at the national level, as he has represented Denmark at under-18 and under-19 levels.

Esbjerg’s sporting management sees Boesen as a versatile midfielder with immense potential, fitting seamlessly into the team’s playing style. They believe he can significantly contribute to controlling matches, thanks to his dynamic approach and strong understanding of the game. His experience, both in Denmark and abroad, coupled with his ambition and positive attitude, aligns perfectly with the culture Esbjerg is striving to build.

For Boesen, this transfer is a pivotal step in his career. After engaging in positive discussions with the club, he views Esbjerg as an ambitious setup with a clear target: a return to the Superliga. He is eager to contribute to the team’s efforts and looks forward to playing at his new home ground, where he hopes to forge a strong connection with supporters.

Boesen is set to train with the squad for the first time on Tuesday. Born on May 5, 2005, he has previously played for clubs such as Valencia CF, Hvidovre IF, Silkeborg IF, and Stabæk Fotball, showcasing his diverse football background. This exciting new chapter at Esbjerg fB could be the perfect opportunity for him to shine on the pitch.
