Details of the Broadcasting Deal
Under the terms of this agreement, TVA Sports and TVA Sports Direct will air all games covered by the pact, ensuring that fans can watch their favorite teams in their preferred language. Additionally, the illico+ platform will also join the distribution lineup, further enhancing accessibility for viewers. Quebecor is set to hold French-language rights to as many as 350 regular-season games each season, which is a significant increase in coverage.
The package includes 32 Montreal Canadiens regular-season games—10 more than before—along with all Canadiens games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. This is particularly exciting news for Canadiens fans, as they will now have more opportunities to watch their team compete during the regular season and playoffs.
Playoff coverage will feature six of the eight first-round series, three of the four second-round series, the Conference Finals, and the highly anticipated Stanley Cup Final.
