Sparekassen Danmark has signed on as the main partner of LB Alliancen, the new girls’ football academy formed by Lyngby Boldklub and Skjold Birkerød. The partnership includes prominent placement of the bank’s logo on team shirts when the academy launches in 2027.
Strengthening Girls’ Football in Denmark
LB Alliancen is designed to strengthen talent development for girls in the local area and will be based at Birkerød Idrætscenter. The U16 and U19 teams will be the first to compete under the LB Alliancen name from 2027, with additional activities planned across clubs in Det Blå Fodboldnetværk to create more pathways for younger age groups.
Sparekassen Danmark already works closely with Lyngby Boldklub and is the main partner for the club’s women’s team. The bank says its involvement with LB Alliancen is aimed at ensuring girls have the same opportunities as boys to develop their skills and pursue their ambitions in football. This approach aligns with the bank’s focus on community engagement and fostering aspirations among young athletes.
Lyngby Boldklub’s head of development, Kristian Maimann, views the backing from Sparekassen Danmark as a key step toward building the best possible setup for the academy. He emphasizes that this partnership will give more girls the chance to test and grow their talent with strong partners behind them, which is essential for the future of girls’ football in Denmark.
The bank’s logo will appear just below the collar on LB Alliancen shirts when the first teams take the field in the 2027 season. This visibility not only represents the bank’s commitment to supporting women’s sports but also serves as an inspiration for young girls aspiring to excel in football. Through initiatives like LB Alliancen, Sparekassen Danmark is helping to pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable environment in sports.
