The fifth International Youth Chess Festival of the Tigran Petrosyan Chess House School of Sport concluded in Yerevan after running from June 17 to 27, bringing together more than 650 young players from several countries.
Highlights of the Chess Festival
Across nine days, participants competed in six age groups, showcasing strong play and steady nerves in a tightly contested event. Candidate Master Volodya Torosyan won the overall title, demonstrating exceptional skill throughout the tournament. FIDE Master Menua Hakobyan and Arman Harutyunyan finished with the same score and shared second place, adding to the competitive spirit of the festival.
The closing ceremony was held on June 27 at the Tigran Petrosyan Chess House School of Sport in Yerevan. During this event, top performers received medals, diplomas, special prizes, gifts, and cash awards, highlighting their achievements and dedication to the game.
