F.C. Copenhagen has confirmed the sale of 20-year-old forward Amin Chiakha to Rosenborg BK. The Norwegian club has made his loan move permanent by activating a purchase option after his spell that began in January.
Amin Chiakha’s Impressive Performance
Chiakha has scored 10 goals in 18 Eliteserien matches this season, a performance that solidified Rosenborg’s decision to retain him. This transfer marks the end of a long association with Copenhagen, where he joined the academy at the young age of 12.
During his time in the youth system, Chiakha excelled by sharing the top scorer award in the 2023/24 UEFA Youth League and also leading the Danish U19 league in goals that same season. His talent was undeniable, and he was promoted to Copenhagen’s first team in July 2024, where he made 27 senior appearances and scored seven goals.
Copenhagen has described Chiakha as a talented striker who has adapted quickly in Trondheim and taken on a leading role at Rosenborg. The club expressed their respect for his decision and left the door open for a potential return in the future.
In his own words, Chiakha expressed a strong attachment to Copenhagen and the club’s base in Frederiksberg. However, he views the move to Rosenborg as the right next step in his career and life in Norway. This transition demonstrates his ambition and commitment to developing as a player in a competitive league.
Copenhagen has wished him success in his future endeavors, acknowledging the contributions he made during his time with the club. As Chiakha embarks on this new chapter, fans and supporters will undoubtedly keep a close eye on his progress at Rosenborg BK.
