Seventy children in Oslo spent the weekend of September 19–20 in a high-energy training program led by FC Copenhagen’s children’s football coaches and hosted by Ullern Fotball.
Boys and girls from the 2015 and 2016 birth years took part in two training sessions on both Saturday and Sunday. Organizers said the program emphasized constant activity, high intensity, and enjoyment of the game, giving participants many touches on the ball and plenty of time in motion. According to the clubs, the children stayed engaged throughout and each left with an FC Copenhagen clothing pack.
Engagement and Learning Opportunities for Young Players
Ullern Fotball reported strong enthusiasm among the 70 participants, describing the schedule and setting as factors that made the weekend stand out. With two sessions per day, the young players logged extensive time on the pitch.
Beyond the on-field work, coaches from FC Copenhagen and Ullern set aside time for professional exchange. Their discussions covered training drills, session structure, and approaches to player development. Ullern’s staff described the chance to see FC Copenhagen’s methods up close as valuable input for their own work.
FC Copenhagen’s children’s program said the aim of such visits is to blend memorable experiences for young players with continued learning for local coaches. The club also views the Oslo event as part of a broader effort to share its approach to children’s football outside Denmark.
This collaborative initiative not only enhances the skills of young footballers but also fosters a community spirit among local clubs and international teams. By focusing on engagement and professional development, FC Copenhagen and Ullern Fotball are setting a precedent for future training programs that prioritize both athleticism and education in youth sports.
